Canada’s Clues Kick-off Tour

Songs from debut album will be featured

Clues formed in 2007 with Alden Penner (Unicorns) and Brendan Reed (who's worked with Arcade Fire). Based in Montreal, the band has kept a seriously low profile for the past year, only playing small, unadvertised shows and remaining a mystery on the web with not even a MySpace or Facebook profile. This year Ben Borden, Lisa Gamble and Nick Scribner joined the band from other outings in Montreal's art scene. In 2008, Clues also worked on developing the online music store VillaVillaNola.com dedicated to bands just like Clues who worked an underground scene in Montreal without media exposure.

The group's debut album is set for release next spring on Canadian tastemaker Constellation Records. According to the label, "the band's shows are frenetic and theatrical: multiple drummers, unique instrumentation and a bent Commodore 64. The small tour began last night night in New York City.
