Mountain Goats Redux: Tour + Flashback

Durham’s Mountain Goats, apparently aiming to shoot for some kind of Dylan-like “Never-Ending Tour” stats, hit the road yet again in October for a monthlong tour with Kaki King. (These will be preceded by a couple of shows in England in September.)

The BLURT faves are still flying high on their Heretic Pride, released by 4AD back in February, and naturally BLURT had a few things to say about it: “[Frontman John Darnielle] channels his anger and romantic disappointment into grist for some of his strongest songs in a while. Just be glad that he lives out in his stunning noir fantasies in songs instead of going postal.” Read the full review HERE.
