Shellac w/Brief Fall Tour

07/24/2008

Warming up for, then winding down from, ATP fest.

By Fred Mills

Shellac, previously announced for September's All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in  upstate New York, will be doing a short series of shows in Michigan and Canada prior to the event.

Speaking to Canada’s Exclaim!, Shellac bassist Bob Weston explained, “We live in Chicago/Minneapolis and we agreed to play All Tomorrow’s Parties in the Catskills. It’s a long drive from Chicago to the Catskills, and so we figured we’d play a few shows along the way to break up the drive. Detroit, Toronto, and Montreal are on the way. Also, it gives us a chance to get into good form for the ATP show.”

After ATP the trio is off to the UK for four more shows, and then… silence once more?  Who knows! It’s a Shellac world! Only their hairdressers know for sure.
