Springhouse Reforms for CD, Tour

Opening for indie supergroup Magnetic Morning.

The late, great Brooklyn trio Springhouse - singer/guitarist Mitch Friedland, bassist Larry Heinemann and drummer Jack Rabid (who's also behind respected rock zine The Big Takeover - have gotten back together to do an album and a short East Coast tour. Titled From Now To Okay, the self-released album drops in October. It will be available in a limited edition run of 550 copies (featuring Bruce Licher's letterpress artwork) as well as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
The group hasn't toured extensively since 1994 (they did a handful of shows six years ago) but is fondly remembered by the indie rock community for its high-energy brand of progressive shoegaze and distinctive Anglo-pop melodies. Two records were released, 1991's Land Falls and 1993's Postcards From The Arctic, and although the band reportedly had begun work on a subsequent album, nothing much has been heard from the band over the years, so by some estimations From Now To Okay has been in the works for nearly a decade and a half.
On the tour Springhouse will be opening for Magnetic Morning (formed by Swervedriver's Adam Franklin, Interpol's Sam Fogarino and Album Leaf's Jimmy LaValle). Also on the bill will be Julie Ocean. Confirmed dates are below with more tba.
